Missions

Here at Friendship Haven Church, we believe in the importance of supporting local missions and international missionaries who serve in the mission fields by the call of our Lord Jesus Christ. Missionaries are called away from the comforts of home and placed in places that are in many instances hostile and quite dangerous for those who preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our Lord Jesus is very purposeful in using His people to share the good news of His Gospel to call all people by the Spirit into a personal relationship that is altogether divine.

Salvador and Harlyn Tjerino are missionaries in Nicaragua. They are currently working to build a modest school to train 55 pastors through the power of the Holy Spirit. The Lord has also placed on their heart to teach, feed and disciple “Children In The Dump”. These are children who are literally raised in the dumps of Nicaragua, forced to find pieces of trash that may be of some value to trade for money in order to purchase scraps of food.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes

FHC supports the FCA because their mission is focused on encouraging the building of relationships, first with Jesus Christ, the chief cornerstone, then with one another.

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is touching millions of lives…one heart at a time. Since 1954, FCA has been challenging coaches and athletes on the professional, college, high school, junior high and youth levels to use the powerful platform of sport to reach every coach and every athlete with the transforming power of Jesus Christ. FCA focuses on serving local communities around the globe by engaging, equipping and empowering coaches and athletes to unite, inspire and change the world through the gospel.

VISION
To see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes.

MISSION
To lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.
Union Rescue Mission

Friendship Haven Church supports or local Union Rescue Mission, founded to be a place of refuge for the less fortunate. As a body of believers, it is our joy to support such an organization that not just provides a safe place for those in need, but provide food, and most importantly an invitation for eternal relationship with Jesus Christ, the true food for our soul.

URM Mission
While we anxiously await the return of Jesus, we are considered to be “ambassadors for Christ” (2 Corinthians 5:20). While Jesus walked this earth he taught us how to be his ambassadors in Matthew 25:34-36.

“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

Everyday at the URM we strive to follow these instructions given to us by our King as we represent something far greater then ourselves.
